What This Graph Tells Us
This graphs shows us the total transferred refuse per operational day. Any change in quantity or equipment downtime will impact these metrics. An operational day is defined as no more than five hours of down time due to a holiday or maintenance requirement.
Data Status Legend
- Green - Average tonnage per day is above the profitable threshold of 300 tons but below the max threshold of 450 tons.
- Yellow - Average tonnage per day is below the profitable threshold of 300 tons
- Red - Average tonnage per day is above the max threshold of 450 tons.
Why This Measure Matters
Quantity (in tons) of refuse exported is the primary measure when considering facility capacity, and dividing the total tonnage by number of operational business days every month will highlight levels of inefficiency impacting capacity. A decrease in number of operational days will increase value of the metric and likely require operational changes to address the problem or get back to normal.
